Hello and thank you for taking the time to peruse my website. My name is Julie Simon. I am a professional freelance writer, researcher, journalist, editor, consultant and teacher. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Social Science from UCLA and current California Teaching Credentials in English, History and Social Science, as well as over 17 years of experience in print media. MY QUALIFICATIONS in written media include the following: content revision editing, trade publications, consumer article writing, screenwriting, travel writing, proofreading, children's writing, website writing and blogs, copy editing, corporate writing and editing, report editing, creative writing, script consulting, cultural and historical consulting, speech writing, journalism, technical writing, health and medical research, legal and legislative research, educational (K-12) curriculum development, policy and education consulting, and more. FILM & SCRIPT CONSULTING: I have an absolute passion for studying history and film. With a degree in History from UCLA, as well as a background in writing historical fiction and non-fiction articles and stories, I have begun to extend my expertise and research to the filmmaking industry.
